We recommend staying in the Bear Valley Village. This way festival participants can park their car upon arrival then forget it until it's time to go home. Free shuttle buses travel regularly between the village and ski resort. In addition, intermediate to expert skiers can ski from the resort to the village which is one of our favorite parts of the unique Bear Valley experience. Directions to Bear Valley. Further down the hill is Tamarack (5 minutes), then Dorrington (30 minutes), Arnold (40 mintues) and finally Angles Camp (1 hours drive) which all have friendly and affordable lodging options.

The good people at Bear Valley Cross Country Center groom and prepares a free snow camping site for festival participants (Thursday - Sunday). Only a short hike on cross country trails (approximately 200 yards). Outhouse on site.
