MAS Rock Climbing Workshops are one-day instructional clinics designed as building blocks to assist you in becoming a well balanced outdoor rock climber.

Whether you have never rock climbed before or its just been awhile, this thorough introduction to outdoor rock climbing will get you moving comfortably and confidently on the rock.  No previous experience is required and all climbing gear included.

This engaging outdoor rock climbing class is designed for indoor gym climbers looking to make the transition to outdoor climbing. In addition to practicing outdoor movement techniques this clinic provides an introduction to setting simple top-rope anchors.

  • Rappeling
  • Rope management (tossing, stacking & coiling)

Learn how to set top-rope systems using a variety of outdoor anchors such as trees, bolts, cams and nuts. Solid anchors are necessary for successful outdoor climbing adventures.

  • Natural & permanent anchors (trees, rocks & bolts)
  • How to place and evaluate removable anchors (nuts, cams & hexes)
  • Linking & equalizing anchors for "bombproof" systems
