basecamp Basecamp is hotter than ever and were not talking about the summer heat. New assitant chef Rafi Youatt (on the right) is working wonderfully with head chef Rob Christie (on the left) to create a dynamic and exciting team in the BaseCamp kitchen.  New summer menu items include: sauteed octopus, thai spring rolls, and "lisa's pasta" with fresh summer vegetables.  Come taste the difference!

NEW - Free wide screen movies with surround sound every Monday at 7 PM in BaseCamp.   Upcoming movies - Capote - July 17th & Chronicles of Narnia - July 24 - so mark your calendars.

Chairlift Parking Lot Sale - Saturday, July 22
The Hibernation chairs are up for grabs! Season passholders can purchase a piece of history for $200 or $250 for non-passholders. The ski resort office will be open an extra day on Saturday, July 22nd from noon to 5pm for purchase and pick up. Please call 209-753-2301 x 0 for details.
Outdoor Rock Climbing Festival

The Bear Valley Adventure Company is once again putting on a fun-filled and educational kayak demo day at Lake Alpine.  Advanced reservations required - $10 fee. Call (209) 753-2834 for more details.

Bear Valley Music Festival - July 29th - August 13th
Now in its 38th season, this festival begins on Saturday, July 29 and includes performances on most evenings over the following two weeks.  From the symphony, jazz and country western, people come to enjoy the melodies of music in a beautiful mountain setting.  A full performance schedule and ticket information can be found at www.bearvalleymusic.org or by calling (209)753-2574.
